If you’re running our IDX please refer to its documentation the below does not apply.
Once you’ve activated the Contempo SMS Alerts plugin exclusive to Real Estate 7 Yearly, you’ll need to do a little bit of setup.
Plugin Installation
- Go into Admin > Appearance > Install Plugins
- Find “Contempo SMS Alerts”
- Install & Activate
When it comes to sending SMS you have two options to choose from Twilio which works directly with our CRM to send and reply to lead messages. Or use JustCall to send SMS, which you then manage and reply to leads via their service and dashboard.
Twilio Configuration
If you’ve already configured the SMS Messaging extension for our CRM (CT Leads Pro) you can skip the below steps.
- Go into Admin > Real Estate 7 Options > Listing Alerts > SMS Alerts
- Find SMS Gateway Service > Select Twilio
- You’ll need to set up a Twilio account via https://www.twilio.com/try-twilio
- Once you’ve verified your email & cell number, you’ll see a landing page to tell them how you’re going to use the service: select SMS > then Lead Conversion > With Code > Continue > then select JavaScript as your preferred language > then select “No, I want to use my own hosting service” just like this > click Continue — don’t worry you won’t be doing any coding, looking at any code, or reading any code 😉
- Next, after you’ve authenticated your account, find the following under https://www.twilio.com/console
- Account SID
- Auth Token
- Copy each of those and return back to your WordPress admin > Real Estate 7 Options > Listing Alerts > SMS Alerts > paste them to the corresponding fields
- Next, go back to Twilio and find “Get Trial Phone Number” > follow the steps > Done > copy the newly created phone number
- Go back to your WordPress admin > Real Estate 7 Options > Listing Alerts > SMS Alerts > paste it to Twilio Number with SMS capabilities > Save Settings
- While you’re there find “Number Reply Webhook” > copy the entire URL
- Then go back to Twilio https://www.twilio.com/console/phone-numbers/incoming > select the phone number you just created > scroll to Messaging > “A message comes in” > select “Webhook” and paste the URL > make sure its set to HTTP POST, like this
- Save Changes, and you’re all set!
- That’s it! Now when you go back to your site and navigate to Lead Alerts you’ll notice a new toggle for “Email & SMS” or just “SMS” whenever you toggle that on (per alert) the messages will be sent directly to their phone, if it’s toggled to “Email” it’ll use the normal email functions.
If you’re still in “Trial” mode, you’ll want to go back to Twilio > Upgrade Project (upper right) this will remove the account from trial > run through the steps and make sure you add funds to the account.
