Setting Up Your Blog

Super quick process, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Appearance > Menus: From your WordPress dashboard, go to the “Menus” section under “Appearance.”
2. Add Blog Categories: Under the “Categories” panel, select the categories you want to include in your menu. You can choose your main blog category and any subcategories you have created.
3. Add to Menu: Click “Add to Menu,” then drag and drop to arrange them as needed.
4. Save the Menu: Once organized, click “Save Menu” to apply your changes.
5. You’re all set: Your blog categories are now displayed in the navigation menu!

Make sure you have your posts assigned to your category and not to “Uncategorized” otherwise they will not show.

Uploading Blog Post Images

1. Open up a post
2. Click “Set Featured Image” upper right
3. Click Upload or select from Media Library
4. Click Set Featured Image
5. That’s it!

Blog Category Header Images

1. Open your WordPress Admin
2. Click Media (left-hand navigation)
3. Add New
4. Select Files
5. Choose your image and Open
6. Click Edit
7. Find Categories (right hand side)
8. Enter the category or categories (comma seperated) you want the image applied to
9. Click outside the field you’ll see a loading icon top left
10. Once that’s done (disappears) close the window.
11. And you’re good to go!
