If you’re not seeing any data being pulled into your site this can be due to a few different things, but all are easily sorted.
- Your IDX License Key is invalid, this typically happens when changing domains (development to live), and the key just needs to be refreshed — please see How do I update my CT IDX Pro license key?. Once the key is updated on the site it’ll begin to repopulate the data.
- You need to resave your settings, go into your WordPress Admin > Settings > CT IDX Pro > Make sure the property types, areas (county > city/zips), price min/max are all within your specifications > then scroll to “Save Settings” click that then find “IDX Cache” in your admin bar and clear cache. Give it a few minutes and you’ll see the data begin to repopulate.
NOTE: You must have County > City/Zips selected, if not the processes will have no parameters to make the API queries and no data will be brought in.
- Your Server Resources are low or not up to requirements, in this case, please see your WordPress admin > Settings > CT IDX Pro > Server Health section.
- You disabled WP-Cron and switched to Server-side cron jobs, in this case, it’s recommended to switch back to WP-Cron and test. If you see data funneling in after an hour or so, it means your server-side cron jobs are either not set up properly or your hosting environment doesn’t support them. After you’ve switched back to WP-Cron go into your plugins panel and find Contempo IDX Pro > Deactivate & Reactivate it, this will recreate the cron jobs into the system then let things run for a while.
- If you’re still not seeing anything there are two ways to check if WP-Cron is running on your server: 1. Go into your WordPress Admin > Settings > CT IDX Pro > scroll down to “Turn on debug logging” (screenshot) > Save Settings, and wait 5-6 minutes if you see a link to the debug log appear (screenshot) that means WP Cron is running, from here let things run for a few hours. If you’re not seeing data after that amount of time open a live chat with us and share your debug file so we can further look into the issue.
2. The second way is to use a monitoring plugin like WP Cron Status Checker or WP Crontrol. If you’ve verified that WP-Cron isn’t running you’ll want to contact your hosting provider’s support and share a screenshot or access to either of those plugin panels, then they can make the necessary server fixes.
Please keep in mind once you get the issue resolved the data is not immediate but will start funneling in after a bit of time. Also, see How Does it Work? in the IDX documentation.
