I’m not receiving emails from my site?
If you’re not receiving emails from your site, this can be due to a couple of factors.
- Generally, emails that go missing are caused by your WordPress hosting server not being properly configured to use PHP mail() or wp_mail() functions, this can be fixed by reaching out to your hosting provider’s support and having them enable support.
- Another option is to use SMTP this will guarantee emails will be sent and received as many email service providers like Gmail and others use a variety of tools to cut down on spam. Tools like these attempt to verify that an email comes from the location that it appears to come from. Frequently, emails sent by WordPress websites fail this test. A WordPress-based email (contact forms, admin notifications, etc…) may not even get into the recipient’s spam folder, let alone their inbox. Our recommendation is to use Brevo and their WordPress plugin, you can send up to 300 transactional emails per day on their free plan.
If you have our CRM plugin activated (Contempo Leads Pro) all forms within your site act as lead magnets that feed leads into the system, reference How Leads Are Collected. If you’d like normal emails to be sent you can deactivate the Contempo Leads Pro plugin and all forms will automatically act in the normal fashion.
