You’ll need to set the server and application to use the full amount of memory available, depending on what plan you went with could be 1024M, 2048M or 4096M and the max_execution_time to 9999, have a look at:
- Server — Quick Video also refer to https://support.cloudways.com/how-to-manage-server-settings/
- Application — Quick Video also refer to https://support.cloudways.com/how-to-change-php-fpm-settings/
When changing your Applications > PHP FPM settings do notice the removal of the semicolon “;” at the beginning of each line, this uncomments each so the settings change will apply.
- Lower your Application > Application Settings > PHP FPM Settings > php_admin_value[memory_limit] (screenshot) by 512M (2GB server) or 1000M (4GB server)
- Next go into Server > Settings & Packages > Advanced > MySQL > Buffer Pool Size > set that to 384M (2GB server) or 768M (4GB server) (screenshot).
- Once you’ve done that it’s always a good idea to restart Apache & MySQL via Server > Manage Services (screenshot), then let things run and do some monitoring & testing.
